ACPL TO CELEBRATE FREE COMIC BOOK DAY ON MAY 6

On Saturday, May 6 the Allen County Public Library will be celebrating Free Comic Book Day, a worldwide event that takes place the first Saturday of each May. Free comic books are available at all ACPL locations while supplies last.
The Main Library (900 Library Plaza, Fort Wayne) also has a full lineup of programs and activities that day.
Highlights include:
Free Comic Book Day Classical Trio – 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the Great Hall
Enjoy your favorite superhero soundtracks performed live by a classical trio.
Superhero Storytime – 10 to 10:30 a.m. in Children’s StoryScape
Write Stuff Comic Book Writing Workshop – 11 a.m. to noon in the Globe Room
Superhero Academy – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Meeting Room AB
Drop in to test your skills and train to be a superhero!
Make Art – Superhero Edition – 2 to 3 p.m. in the Children’s Program Room
Come learn a new art process during this open studio program!
Superhero Jewelry – 3 to 5 p.m. in Teens Department
Drop by to create a piece of jewelry inspired by your favorite superhero fandom. While supplies last.
LEGO Challenge – 3 to 4 p.m. in the Globe Room
Celebrate Free Comic Book Day by creating a special LEGO design.
