The Allen County Public Library (ACPL) and Super Shot, Inc. are hosting a series of vaccine clinics in October for Fort Wayne residents six months and older. As cold and flu season approaches, vaccination will help reduce the risk of complications for individuals and limit community spread of illnesses.

“We so appreciate the partnership with Super Shot which allows us to provide much needed vaccines to our community,” said ACPL Executive Director Susan P. Baier. “At the library, we aim to be a place where people can find not only books, but also the community resources they need to stay healthy, safe, and connected.”

Licensed vaccination staff from Super Shot will administer flu shots at three Fort Wayne ACPL branches. Additionally, COVID vaccines will be offered as soon as they become available.

A parent or guardian must be present if the patient is under 18 years old. All participants should bring a form of ID and an insurance card if they have insurance. Vaccinations will be available at no cost, if uninsured.

“Vaccines are a safe and affordable way to reduce the complications of flu and COVID-19,” said Connie Heflin, Executive Director of Super Shot, Inc. “The ACPL clinics provide a convenient vaccination location, and we encourage all families to take advantage of this opportunity.”
